THEA 011: Script Analysis

Course Description

This course is a survey of Classical, Modern Realism, and Contemporary/Absurdist dramatic literature with an emphasis on preparation for production. Through reading and analysis of representative plays selected from each of the major dramatic periods and style, and through consideration of theatrical conventions and aesthetic influences, students have the opportunity to fully explore an in-depth methodology of reading, analyzing, and understanding the play scripts intended for production.
