Course Description
In this course, students receive instruction in academic reading and writing, including writing processes, effective use of language, analytical thinking, and the foundations of academic research. Instructors guide students toward writing essays independently with competence and confidence. This course reflects the department’s commitment to examine works from diverse perspectives and help students develop their authentic voices. This course used to be ENGL 001A.
